Can you think of a better solution to August's winter blues than heading off to the Remarkable Fields in Queenstown? Neither can we. If you're one of the lucky ones that jets off for the slopes every year, you'll know it is the best opportunity to breakout your cashmere, cat eye sunnies and colorful faux fur for some apres-ski looks. Heres our top 4 tips to nail apres-ski style every time.
1. Layer, layer, layer
Sometimes there's no break in between the slopes to the mountain side cafe, you need to be able to peel off the layers. Think heat tech t-shirts and light weight knits. You want to make sure you have something that you can take off without feeling like you're left in your skivvies. Jacquie is loving the Ioanna Kourbela Soberity short sleeve blouse as an added layer.
2. Keep things casual
Opt for jeans that can be tucked in to your boots or trackies that will keep you warm without soaking up your surroundings. The Gestuz Locklyn pants are perfect as the can button up to become a skinny leg and get tucked in to your boots.
3. Helmet hair solution
You know you'll have to wear a helmet for skiing and can't really avoid the dreaded helmet hair. Come 5 o'clock, you have that lack-luster looking mane, with a fringe slicked down your forehead and disheveled parting. Let's camouflage this with a warm beanie hat that is du jour mountain etiquette. The Ioanna Kourbela Opulence is the ideal solution to helmet hair and to keep your ears warm.
4. The perfect jacket
Now is the time to buy that gorgeous, colourful puffer jacket! Get a pattern and/or colourful jacket that will look stylish and be practical for outerwear. You want to make sure you have a great jacket to stay warm but you are happy to sport on the mountain as well. Christelle's fave options for this is the Ioanna Kourbela Bliss long coat. It is so warm and the pattern is feminine.
